The tote bag is made from a vintage 1940s/1950s army kit bag, individuals would add their names and army numbers to help identify their kit bags. This is the only aspect of military issue kit that was allowed to be personalised, so these pieces have cultural history invested in the fabric. 
 
Details from the original piece are retained to show their heritage.
 
- Original print details used to become a feature
-  Zip opening with contrast cotton details at zip ends.
- Design includes outside pocket as well as internal pocket.
- Internal detail using original hardware   
- Dimensions : 35cm x 34cm x 16cm.
 
Only this piece was able to be cut from the specific kit bag, so this is a off off piece.
 
All fabrics are fully cleaned before manufacture, however all fabrics are repurposed and have had a previous life. The fabric may show signs of previous use.
