Lecturing colleagues who became friends, we are both from a Fashion Industry background. Our company name is: 'Glass Shed Studio' inspired by the glass-panelled garden shed that has become our business studio at the end of Alison's beautifully-designed garden.
Our focus is on sustainability; we repurpose fabrics into functional bags that you will feel invested in. The bags timeless shape allows us to make the details from the original fabric become design features. Our aim is to use our design skills to cut and make each product to show off the interesting qualities of fabrics that would otherwise end up in landfill.
After a thriving career in the Fashion Industry working for many top brands, I have progressed this with Fashion Lecturing.
Bringing a love of creativity expands from my professional role though to my home-life. Investing many hours of love landscaping my garden where I grow my own vegetables . Creating a beautiful home is important to me, approaching it with a focus of sustainability and functionality.
After a London-based industry career in Fashion Development for companies such as Nicce and Holland Cooper, I moved to Devon for a Fashion Lecturing Role. Continuing to build my career in a creative direction has lead me to co-found
Glass Shed Studio with Alison.
Sustainability has always been a personal focus, and this business is allowing me a platform to develop this focus making functional and timeless pieces out of fabrics that would of otherwise gone to landfill.
